Janice Kovach is a dynamic leader, advocate, and public servant who has been at the forefront of civic engagement and community empowerment. Serving as Mayor of Clinton, NJ, since her election in 2011 and re-elected for a fourth term in 2023, she has championed local and statewide initiatives, including her tenure as President of the NJ League of Municipalities in 2021. A former Director of the New Jersey Division on Women (2006-2010), Janice has been a passionate advocate for women’s representation in politics and business, mentoring aspiring female leaders while funding vital programs. Her influence extends beyond governance; she co-founded the River Town Film Festival in 2017 and chairs the Hunterdon County Film Commission, promoting the region as a filming hub. Appointed to the NJ Motion Picture and Television Commission by Governor Murphy in 2019, she has played a pivotal role in advancing New Jersey’s creative industries. A TEDx speaker with a focus on government reform and social justice issues, Janice ran for Congress in 2014, emphasizing bipartisan collaboration and community-driven solutions. Her dedication to public service, the arts, and cultural dialogue continues to inspire transformative change across New Jersey.
